Ireland’s WXV squad trains for home series

Aoibheann Reilly, 25, is part of Ireland’s WXV squad as the team prepares for home matches against the USA and Japan.

The first match will take place on 20 September at Tallaght Stadium in Dublin, where Ireland will face the USA. This will mark the venue’s first-ever rugby match, though it has previously hosted Republic of Ireland soccer games.

Reilly suffered a broken fibula and ACL injuries to both legs within nine months, which forced her to miss the 2026 Women’s Six Nations tournament.

Following the home series, the Ireland team will travel to South Africa for two matches in late October.

The remaining WXV fixtures include games against Japan on 27 September at Dexcom Stadium in Galway and 3 October at Virgin Media Park in Cork.
