Rory McIlroy, the defending champion of the Irish Open, will return to the tournament in 2026, now officially named the Amgen Irish Open 2026.
The event will take place at Trump Doonbeg, marking the venue for this year’s competition.
Donald Trump is scheduled to attend the Irish Open on Sunday, adding a high-profile presence to the tournament.
The Irish Open is being discussed as a potential ‘practice round’ for Trump’s long-awaited return to the Turnberry Open, though no official confirmation has been made.
Alongside the 20th Solheim Cup, the Amgen Irish Open is highlighted as one of the key golf events of 2026.
