Microsoft to Impose Monthly Hour Limits on Xbox Cloud Gaming

Microsoft has announced plans to impose monthly hour limits on Xbox Cloud Gaming, a move that will affect subscribers starting in November. The changes aim to introduce a structured approach to cloud gaming usage, with a specific focus on managing playtime.

Under the new policy, Xbox Cloud Gaming subscribers will be capped at 15 hours of playtime per month. This limit is designed to ensure a balanced distribution of resources among users, according to Microsoft.

For those who exceed the 15-hour limit, Microsoft will offer the option to pay extra for additional playtime. Users will be able to purchase additional hours on a per-hour basis, providing flexibility for those who need more gaming time.

Microsoft claims that these changes will only impact 4% of Game Pass subscribers, suggesting that the majority of users will not be significantly affected by the new limits. The company aims to maintain a fair and sustainable service for all users.
